Race Information
The 2012 Run the Reagan will be held Saturday, February 18th, rain, snow, ice or sunshine. The race features a 1 Mile Fun Run (untimed), a 5K Fun Run/Walk (untimed), a 5K (timed), a 10K (timed) amd a Half-Marathon (timed). The 5k, 10k and Half Marathon courses are USATF certified and can be used as a 2012 Peachtree Road Race qualifier.Timed runners who participate in the Half-Marathon, 10K & 5K will be issued a ChronoTrack D-tag to be worn on their shoe during the race.

Race Applications: The 2012 Run The Reagan has several convenient ways for you to register for this year's race. You can register online at Active.com, you can download a race application is a PDF format, or can can visit several locations around Gwinnett County. All 3 Snellville McDonalds, Chic-fil-A in Snellville and Barron's Fine Jewelers in Snellville.

Race times are as follows: Half-Marathon - 9 a.m. | 10K - 9:15 a.m. | Fun Run - 10:30 a.m. | 5K - 11:00 a.m.

Parking is available across from the Carmike Cinema off of Presidential Circle which will be open at 6:00 a.m. There will be volunteers available for directions. Select this copy to reserve your room!

Hotel Accomodations are provided by Marriot Gwinnett Place Center • 1775 Pleasant Hill Road in Duluth • 770.923.1775 • They are offering a $79.00 per night rate for Run The Reagan participants.

RACE DAY PACKET PICKUP AND REGISTRATION will begin at 6 a.m. near the start/finish line at the intersection of Ronald Reagan Parkway and Presidential Circle.

Overall awards are as follows: 1st overall $300 | 2nd overall $150 | 3rd overall $100. Awards for half marathon will be given 3 deep in 5 year increments from 19 and under to 70 and over. 5K and 10K awards will be given to the overall Male /Female and Masters Male /Female top finishers and 3 deep in 5 year increments from 10 and under to 70 and over. Mile fun run finishers will receive a ribbon. All half marathon finishers will receive a commemorative Run the Reagan medal. All participants will receive a t-shirt. Only timed runners are eligible for awards and prizes.

Peachtree Qualifier: The Run The Reagan 10K course is USATF certified and can be used as a Peachtree Road Race qualifier.

Race Timing & Race Results: Runners who participate the Half Matathon, 10K & 5K will be issued a ChronoTrack D-tag to be worn on their shoe during the race.

Registration Information:
•Entry fees are non-refundable and must be postmarked by Friday, February 10th for early registration discount.

•Online registration is available at www.active.com thru Wednesday, February 15th at midnight. Please bring your confirmation email to packet pickup.

• All runners must sign up on an individual basis. There are group discounts for organizations.

•Pre-Race Packet Pickup is FRIDAY ONLY (Feb. 17) from 12 Noon until 8pm at Academy Sports + Outdoors / 1585 Scenic Highway North, Snellville, GA 30078 / 770.736.4009.

•Late registration must be in person at Academy Sports + Outdoors on Friday, February 17th from noon until 8 p.m. Cash and checks accepted.

•Checks should be made payable to: Run The Reagan.

Results: Race results will be posted on the Run The Reagan website as soon as they are available.

Course Information: Ronald Reagan Parkway will be completely closed. The race starts at Presidential Circle and will follow a 13.1 mile course. Water stations every 1.5 miles, as well as medical attention and port-a-johns along the race route.

Area Road Closures: Ronald Reagan Parkway will be closed from 2 a.m-February 18th until 2 p.m-February 18th. Try to get there early!

Eastside Hospital: Highway 124/Scenic Highway between U.S. 78 and Sugarloaf Pkwy.

Dogwood Rd. to Tree Lane in Snellville.

Finish Line Sponsor Displays: Join us Race Day, Saturday, February 18, 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. for Gwinnett's largest finish line celebration. Enjoy music, moon walks and other activities, food, entertainment, featuring games and other activities.

IF ICE CONDITIONS ARE PRESENT, A DELAY OF THE RACE MAY OR MAY NOT OCCUR. PLEASE REFER TO THE WEBSITE THE DAY OF THE RACE IF YOU FEEL A DELAY MAY BE WARRANTED. THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS ISSUED TO ANY PARTICIPANT FOR ANY REASON .
